What's it like on Sunday's?

Atmosphere Our Sunday mornings focus on three things: teaching the Bible, musical worship, and building community.  We strive to provide an atmosphere that will enable all people to feel welcome, and to be honest about who we are.       Teaching Each Sunday morning, we explore truths found in the Bible, which we believe is God's communication to us. We believe that God teaches us about himself, about others, and about us through the Bible.       Music   One way that people can communicate to God, is through musical worship. While music is not the only form of worship, we believe that it is a great catalyst to focusing on God. We believe that reflecting on God's characteristics can be powerful and life changing. Each Sunday, we worship God through music as a community.       Prayer Another method of communicating with God is through prayer. We pray as a community each Sunday. These prayers are usually lead by our pastor, or an elder from our group.       The People This is probably the hardest section to write about.  People, by nature, are extremely different. The Desert Springs family is home to many types of people, from many different walks of life, all at varying stages in their life.  Some have been following Jesus for many years, others have just begun to follow Jesus, while others remain skeptics, still evaluating if Jesus is legit.   All are welcome here.       What should I wear? There is no dress code, and there won't be bouncers at the door. The majority of people wear "business casual" although you can find anywhere from a 3-piece suit to shorts, sandals and a t-shirt. Wear whatever is comfortable for you.       Do I need to bring money? No.  If you decide to visit with us on a Sunday, we do not ask for money, nor do we expect it.  You shouldn't feel pressured to give. You may, however see a plate passed.
