Ignite is a
movement of students who seek to see the
transforming message of Jesus be lived
out in real life.
Ignite
seeks to be real, raw, and relational
when presenting the life, actions, and
message of Jesus.
Ignite is
not a safe environment in the sense that
we seek to shelter teens from the real
world. You will find a mixture of people
who are skeptics, seekers, and believers
in God. Ignite will not provide you with
a place to hide away from the real world
of problems related to parents, peer
pressure, and performance in all the
areas of life that drain us. We do not
seek to provide an isolating environment
from the world in order to hear about
God. Rather we prepare and equip
students according to the truth of
scripture to make an eternal impact in
their high school, sports teams, and
peer groups aka: your world. The
motivation is simple: love. The reason
is simple: God.
If you are
a skeptic tired of the hypocrisy you see
in the church and have given up on God
as a result: we could be the place for
you...but be warned we still struggle with
hypocrisy ourselves.
If you are
a seeker who is studying the claims of
Jesus and Christianity and want to know
more about how you can authentically
connect with God: we could be the place
for you...although none of us are perfect
at it explaining the connection that is
a beautiful mystery between God and
mankind.
If you are
a believer and want to find a place to
be challenged to grow, mature, and
multiply your faith: we could be the
place for you...but don't church hop.
We'd rather see people grow through or
movement rather than be the next big
cool Christian hang out.
