As a part of the fellowship here at Desert Springs, you are surrounded by people who care about you and want to be a part of your life. Unfortunately, in a congregation that is larger than a hundred people or so, it can be hard to connect and find time to share your heart and your needs. For that reason, there are organized ministries that you can contact if you have a need.
Need a friend?
There are many ministries at DSBC that can help you form one-on-one friendships. One of the best ways is our community groups program, which will plug you into a small group of compatible people. Groups of all ages, shapes and sizes are available.
Need Prayer?
The prayer chain at DSBC is always available to pray for you. Members of the prayer chain are committed to praying consistently for situations important to you, to our church, our neighborhoods and the world. Requests are held in confidence within the pastors, elders and members of the prayer chain. You can turn in prayer requests through the blue response cards from Sunday Worship Services, by calling the church office at 602-996-9000 or emailing the Prayer Chain Coordinator at .
Need a Helping Hand?
The Helping Hands Team provides meals for individuals or family in life crisis situations. People in need, perhaps recovering from injury, hospitalization, or illness, can contact the church office. A Helping Hands coordinator will contact them in return.
Need a Visit?
The Visitation Team makes personal visits to the congregation of Desert Springs Bible and their families. They are available for prayer and encouragement prior to, during and after a hospital stay. If you or someone you know needs a visit, call the church office, use a blue response card during Sunday Worship Services or, in an emergency situation, contact the “pastor on call” through the church office at 602.996.9000.
Can't Make Ends Meet?
The benevolence fund is another branch of the care ministries at Desert Springs. It provides emergency funds to sustain the temporary needs of DSBC families as well as those in our community. These funds are for basic needs and are limited to funds on hand. This ministry is supported by benevolence fund contributions received during the worship services the first Sunday of every month. Distribution is overseen by the pastors and elders. To request assistance, those in need may visit the church office during business hours. We also have financial training, counseling and classes available for those interested.
