Parent Ministry Opportunities
At Desert Springs, we are committed to giving parents valuable, relecant information to help raise children in today's world. Parenting classes and seminars are offered throughout the year, along with MOPS and MomsNext programs for mothers. We also offer weekly childcare opportunities to allow mom's to take advantage of a few hours without the little ones. MMM - Monday Morning Mentoring
A group designed to give parents a chance to discuss parenting challenges and receive encouragement. Childcare is provided free of charge in the toddler/nursery room for parents attending MMM. The group meets in the Guest Room on campus 9:30am - 10:30am, Mondays, specific weeks during the year.
Grand Parenthood Class
Grandparenthood is far more than rocking chairs. It is a second chance to do all of the things that real life (diapers, soccer practice, dance lessons, and waiting up for teenagers) prevented you from doing. Grandparenthood allows you to play a key role in writing the history of a generation that you will some day leave in charge.
In Grandparenthood: More than rocking chairs, you will learn how to:
- Pass on a great sense of blessing to each one of your grandchildren.
- “Spoil” your grandchildren in a positive way.
- Help your grandchildren if their parents go through a divorce or move in with you.
- Be an effective grandparent to your step-grandchildren.
- Avoid crossing the fine line between intervening and interfering.
- Leave a legacy that will go on forever.
